It is with great pleasure to welcome players of the national floorball teams of Italy, Liechtenstein, Norway, Hungary and Latvia here in Valmiera!

 

Valmiera is one of the oldest cities in Latvia, which has become the centre of economic activity, education, culture and sports in the Vidzeme region. We have successfully combined industrial development, while keeping in mind that our residents have the right to live in clean and friendly environment. By ensuring rich cultural life, great variety of leisure activities and countless opportunities for self-development, we want our residents to have well-rounded and fulfilled lives.

 

I am honoured that Valmiera was chosen to host the Men’s World Floorball Championships Qualification tournament. I hope that each visitor will have an opportunity to experience the warm-heartedness and hospitality of the residents of Valmiera and would feel themselves at home. I am confident that the tournament will be filled with exciting games, tremendous wins and high emotions.
