At the end of January World Floorball Championships Qualification in Valmiera, Latvia was played. Tournament is over and Gothenburg tickets divided, but good memories remain. President of Liechtenstein Floorball Association Franz Maurer shared his feedback.

 

Thanks again for the great hospitality. Our team was very happy all the time and had great fun playing floorball. For us it was a great experience to play on Gerflor, we are not used to it, it was just great! The group EUR4 was not easy and we knew that it will be very hard for us to beat any team. Without winning any games, we took a lot of international experience and emotions back home. To sum up, we scored 7 goals, we won the 3rd period 2:0 against Italy and we had a draw in the 3rd period 3:3 against Hungary – that is not really bad for such a small floorball country as Liechtenstein and we are very proud!

 

You guys did a very good job! It was probably the best organized tournament we have attended so far! For us it was great to have a team guide and many thanks to Monta again for everything she did for us and our injured player!

 

You are well prepared for the 11th Men´s World Championships 2016 in Latvia and I'm sure it will be a great floorball celebration.

 

For Liechtenstein it was a great pleasure and honor to be part of the tournament. I hope that you will see us again in the future. I wish you all the best and great success for the Latvian National Floorball Team at the 10th Men’s World Championships in Sweden this December!
