
Latvian Floorball Union would like to inform you that after research of numbers of licensed floorball players during this season has reached a new record.

Last week at Valmiera and Koceni took place the European Floorball cup championship, where men and women teams from eight different countries were fighting for the first place.

This Sunday (26.04) team Latvia U-19 will play last game before World championships against Estonia U-19.

Champion in men's elite - CelTik/Lekrings. In final serie against Talsi/Triobet result was 3-0 (10:6; 5:4; 3:2).
Champion in womens elite - Rubene. Result against Latvijas Avize/LU in serie 3-0 (5:2; 3:2; 3:1).

Team Latvia U-19 Head coach Ainārs Zelčš announced 20 players and 4 reservists for U-19 World Championship in Turku, Finland from May 6th - 10th.
Last test before going to Turku will be friendship game against Estonia U-19 on 26th of April in Koceni, Latvia.

Starting with the next championship there will be 14 teams in men's highest division. Automatically two best teams from 1st division next season will play in elite. And only the last team from this seasons highest division championship will have replay for staying in elite against 3rd place team in 1st division.
In accordance with the results in elite next championship will play teams Ulbroka and FK Rīga.

The Latvian Floorball Union together with International Floorball Federation are orginising a Floorball develpoment seminar.

Next referee's meeting will be on 25 th February (18.00). Place for the meeting - Latvian Floorball Union office Zaubes str.1-4, Riga.
